Is Pitching Your Startup On TV A Good Idea? – Forbes.com with Scott Cupit

Cupit – Founder of Swing Patrol – is one of those lucky entrepreneurs who has turned a genuine creative passion into a lucrative and scalable business.

The company has its origins in a backpacking holiday in the US. As Cupit recalls, he was persuaded to attend a swing dance event. His initial reluctance evaporated as he fell under the spell of the music and the dance. But but the event did more than engender a passion for Swing. With a background banking and finance, he saw an opportunity to start a business teaching the dance moves in his native Melbourne.

Trevor Clawson charts his journey from the beginning for Forbes.com. It’s a great read. Check out the full piece here.
