UK Business Forums goes behind the scenes on Dragons’ Den with Scott Cupit

Appearing on Sunday’s show is Scott Cupit, entrepreneur and owner of swing dance school and events company Swing Patrol. You may remember him as the entrepreneur who got all five Dragons up on their feet dancing!

Cupit first appeared on the Den in July 2014 and received £65,000 for a 20% stake from Deborah Meaden, after receiving several other offers. Since 2014, Swing Patrol has gone on to break a Guinness World Record, launch a new book and an online shop. The company has also danced for the Prime Minister at 10 Downing Street and has built a community of over 12,000 dancers.

UKBF spoke to Cupit about his experience on the Den and what’s he’s been upto since. According to Cupit, Deborah was great as a mentor:

“We spent a lot of time working on great business systems, just on that mentoring side of things and ‘what is a good business’. She’s been amazing, and she’s been great at promoting our brand, too. She’s a really lovely lady and we can have a good old natter as we both have a passion for dancing,”
