Friday night!

The London Swing Festival kicked off with the Shirt Tail Stompers, playing Harlem Swing and the hot Jazz of the 1920s, 30s and 40s. We heard music from our favourite composers including Duke Ellington, Benny Goodman and Count Basie. Check out some photos below from the awesome Pawel Gawronski @suddenisland

Saturday Night!

Saturday night saw us back for another night of social dancing to the Shirt Tail Stompers! We had our Championship Cup competition won by our very own Kings Cross teaching duo Pete ‘n’ Steph! We also had an amazing performance from our awesome all girls dance troupe, The Dinahs!

Sunday Night!

On Sunday night the incredible Pete Long’s Pocket Basie had us dancing the night away with the very best in authentic vintage swing music with minimal amplification, just as it was in it’s heyday. Scroll down for photos!

This year we picked out some of the most inspiring teachers we’ve learnt from over the past year including Marie N’Diaye & Anders Sahlberg, Elze Visnevskyte & Peter Kertz,  Alexia Legoueix & Sep Vermeersch and Robyn Larsen & Benjamin Cook. We were so lucky to have this passionate and dynamic line up sharing their Lindy Hop love and knowledge with us! Check out a few photos below from our workshops this year.
