Fitness Workshop: Lindy Hop – Swing Patrol in The Telegraph

Swing Patrol was featured in series of articles in which Telegraph writers tested out some of the best ways of keeping in shape. Writer Isabel White joined us for one of our classes.

“It is an incredibly fun way of getting and staying fit. The music is upbeat and, combined with the vigorous moves, seems to stimulate the production of endorphins, making it impossible to stop grinning. You can do with as many or as few friends as you want – classes work on a rotation basis, allowing everyone to dance with everyone else, so it’s fine if you can’t find someone to drag along with you.

At the end of the night not only do I feel like I’ve had a work out but I also leave with a smile on my face and, most importantly, a swing in my step – with not a pair of running shoes in sight – workout complete!

The best part is that you don’t even feel like you are exercising, just listening to fantastic music and dancing with friends.”
