Club Stomp is Auditioning!

Club Stomp is a developmental troupe focusing on partner dancing and performance. This is the perfect place to get to know other like minded dancers and work together to perform some fun lindy hop routines and work on core swing dancing elements as well as air steps and jams. If you’ve always wanted to join Brat Pack but thought you weren’t ready yet, or if you just want to find out what it’s like to be in a performance troupe then this could be for you! Club Stomp will perform at a variety of events including socials, festivals and community events and free gigs. The troupe will work on individuals’ dancing but with a focus on performance and fun routines.

About the Troupe

Club Stomp is run by Jeff Tong and Michaela Delmonte! Both teachers run weekly classes for Swing Patrol and have been members themselves of dance troupes for over 4 years. With a love for performing and a love for their students, they are excited to create fun performances for this new group.

Sessions will run for 2 hours every Friday from 7pm to 9pm at bishopsgate institute. Cost will be approximately £50 per month per person, payment will be on a rolling monthly basis.

Dancers in the troupe will be expected to attend every Friday rehearsal session, be available for weekend and evening performances and/or free gigs and be up for working as a team.

Auditions will involve learning some choreography as well as learning some basic movements, and performing something to the group.

Are you up for the challenge? Dancers should:
– be able to swing out
– know a variety of charleston rhythms
– be able to transition between moves
– have tried some solo jazz before
– up for performing
– up for trying and learning air steps

– up for switch dancing
