IMPROVERS/ INTERMEDIATE SAVOY CHARLESTON COURSE

Charleston was pivotal to Lindy Hop as seen in the Savoy Ballroom in the 1930’s as well as in the film and theatre industries of the same era, and still is. It is particularly great for dancing to faster tempos, offering a myriad of interesting vocabulary that bring up play, vivacity and energy to the dancefloor.

In this course, we will kick (pun intended) deeper into the peculiarities and technique of this style and explore a wide range of figures and transitions that will take your dancing (and jamming) to the next level!

(Examples of moves: Hacksaws, Corridors, Around-the-Word, Tandem Variations, Savoy Kicks).
