We love Robin! While he lives in Surrey he works for Eurostar and is based in East London just minutes from Homerton. First dragged to a local Jive class in 2008, Robin quickly took to dancing and has developed a love of the music and whole vintage scene as well. The real breakthrough however was discovering Lindy Hop some time in 2009. Within a year he started to learn to teach in the local area and soon took on his own venue in the Hampshire countryside, partnered with, his now fiancee, Amy. Robin has expanded his repertoire and developed his style across the UK and Europe, adding in other swing dances where possible.
Robin has been running his own local classed and events in Hampshire, having started Cats Got Rhythm dance company with Amy a couple of years ago. Recent highlights include dancing for Children In Need at CarFest, Goodwood Revival and Wings and Wheels, filming for a forthcoming BBC period drama, assisting Jenny Thomas at her weekly class and of course tying the speed shim sham at the Bristol Swing Ball.
Robin is looking forward to spreading his passion for swing dance and the social vintage scene at Swing Patrol Homerton. As an engineer by day, he loves to focus on precision and accuracy without forgetting that dance is conversation with your partner.
