Robin Hatton-Brown

We love Robin! Having started swing dancing back in what he thinks was 2008. He quickly learned to teach within the local scene, however discovering Lindy Hop a year or so later opened the horizon to explore more, adding snippets of other styles in as the opportunity arose. He finally came to teach for Swing Patrol in 2014, at the Homerton venue, then started the Leyton class in 2015, before moving to Dalston to the reins from Scott in 2017. The latest move to Waterloo, and hopefully a new teaching home in 2023 opens up a whole new audience to pass his knowledge, style, and quirks on…so let the games begin…again!

Robin, along with his wife, can also be found teaching nearer to home in Hampshire as well as at larger events and festivals over the summer, under their Cats Got Rhythm dance company. Recent highlights include dancing for Children In Need at CarFest, Goodwood Revival and Wings and Wheels. He also has a few film and TV credits to his name, throwing some shapes in the background, but blink and you will miss him.

Robin enjoys spreading his passion for swing dance and the social vintage scene. As an engineer by day, he loves to focus on precision and accuracy without forgetting that dance is conversation with your partner and most of all a source of joy in life.
