Welcome to Swing Patrol King’s Cross
– with the wonderful Pete and Steph!
7pm – Level 1 – Beginner swing dance class: A drop in beginners class — anyone can attend any time. No partner required. We cover all the basics from scratch (20s Charleston, 30s Charleston, 6 and 8 count Lindy Hop).
8:05pm – Level 2 – Intermediate: A class for improver dancers who are wanting to move on from the basics and learn more about musicality, lead/follow technique, rhythm, etc… If you have some experience of 6 and 8 count Lindy Hop and some Charleston then you should definitely think about jumping in.
9:10pm – Level 3 – Advanced: A more advanced class for dancers who are comfortable on the social dance floor and have been swing dancing for a minimum of about one year. You will be looking to hone your technique and make improvements to the quality of your dancing, not just learn new steps. You must have a very strong grasp of the basics and be prepared to spend lots of time working on ideas like momentum, pulse, lead/follow connection, rhythm and musicality. We will be using the focus on technique to teach hardcore ninja moves as well though! There is no rush to jump into this class and it is not a good idea to jump in before you are ready. If you are unsure whether you should be in this class then please come and ask us!

The location is amazing — between King’s Cross and Euston (5-10 minute walk from King’s Cross and a stone’s throw from Euston). It’s very spacious with a lovely wooden floor, air-conditioning, great sound system and socialising area. So we’ll have lots of time for practice / social dancing afterwards.
This venue is not wheelchair accessible.
