We’re so excited to welcome Trisha back with a follow up workshop to her sold out Suga Bomb!

After a sell out workshop last year we are extremely lucky to have the amazing Trisha back for two days of workshops for followers. You’ll learn how to master the infamous swivel and how to execute the perfectly poised spin. You’ll develop a deeper understanding about the core skills required to develop as individual dancers, becoming amazing followers. We’ll look to other followers (old and new) as our inspiration but know that difference is to be valued too.

Over two days, this workshop will cover the following topics:

Swing Amazon & Swing Angel
This element allows you to truly understand and discover the dancer you are and what elements of your personality you bring to your dancing. We explore the tones, contrast and dynamics of being a swing ‘Angel’ or a Swing ‘Amazon’ and all the flavours and styles in between. Then we focus on how you can use this idea in your dancing to your advantage.

Swinglicious Swivel and Switches variations
You’ve mastered your basic swivels and switches, now you want to introduce more challenging rhythms, variations and flourishes to dance with flair.

Core Spins and Turns
We will be focusing on the fundamental principles of delivering perfectly balanced and controlled movement in your dancing, through simple practice drills and exercises.

Just dance – Improvisation for followers
Master the basic processes in developing and creating solo movement that is innovative and unique to you as well as inspiring others. This workshop helps you to think outside the box and draw on your inventive/ creative talents.

Levels
This is open to followers at all levels excluding absolute beginners as they need to have some basics in place. Leaders who want to understand more about following are encouraged to attend.
