Are you looking to up your competition game? Don’t understand how to make it past a prelim? Want to try competing but have no idea where to start? Join Katie for a lesson in Competing 101. In this workshop we will be looking at what skills you can develop to make you a better competitor. From understanding what goes through the judge’s minds, being able to hold your own in the finals to defining success for yourself.
This class is open to all levels and will be part lecture part dance class. We will be getting up and dancing though exercises but we will also be talking and learning. Bring dance wear, an extra layer to keep your body warm while we chat, and something to take notes on.
Format of class: 4 hours total (3.5 hours content + 30mins break)
N.B. Please arrive at the Garnault Place reception at the back of the building and the receptionist will direct you to the studio.
Please note: Places are limited due to the available space so don’t delay in securing your spot! Switch dancers are welcome, also. We just ask you to sign up as a lead of follow for admin purposes.
