Victoria Park

Welcome to Swing Patrol Victoria Park!

This is a great place to learn swing dancing, get fit, meet new people and have a laugh. Here’s what we do every week:

7.00pm Absolute Beginners swing class – £8 for the hour!
These classes are for new dancers, no experience required – we’re always delighted to see first timers. We go over the basics every week and then throw in some new moves to get you swinging.

8.15pm Level 2 – £8, or £4 if you do more than one class

This class assumes some knowledge of the rhythms we teach in Level 1 – tandem Charleston, side-by-side Charleston, six-beat and eight-beat. We’ll give you the moves and the confidence to hit the dance floor.

Your Tuesday night teachers are Erin and David: Erin brings the bubbly Australian enthusiasm, David chips in with the bad jokes. Together we teach jazz dances from the 20s, 30s and 40s including Charleston, six-beat and lindy hop.

We always teach drop-in classes so you don’t need to book and you don’t need to come with a partner. We’re upstairs at the Royal Inn on the Park, a classic east London pub with good ale, excellent food and friendly staff. So come for class then stay afterwards for a dance and a drink.

Coming to the London Swing Festival? Enter the class code VicPark so they know you’re from our class. See you there!
