Welcome to Swing Patrol Highbury!

Swing dancing is a truly fun dance which embraces Lindy Hop and Charleston capturing the 1920′s 30′s , & 40′s.
Swing Patrol Highbury classes are every Thursday evening at The Horatia, only moments away from Highbury & Islington Station  (The Horatia 98 -102 Holloway Road).

James & Genevieve  are very excited to be teaching a beginners’ class (level 1) every Thursday evening from 7pm to 8pm followed by an improvers’ class (level 1.5) from 8.15 pm until 9.15 pm followed by social dancing until 10.30pm.

The Horatia is a wonderful relaxing pub with friendly staff, great drinks, tasty food and comfy sofas.

Level 1 beginners’ class 7pm to 8pm
This is a class that assumes that you have little to no knowledge of swing dancing and teaches you the basics as well as embracing the fun
Come down and meet some great people, have a laugh, and try something new. You can start any week, you don’t need a partner, no experience is required!   James & Genevieve tailor this class for the absolute beginner breaking down all the moves into very easy simple steps …so do not worry, you are in very safe hands.

Level 1.5 improvers’ class 8.15pm to 9.15pm
Our second class is great for the  dancer who has possibly been coming to our beginners’ class for several weeks, established a good understanding of the basics and is now enthusiastic to step their dancing up a gear.

Genevieve and James keep the music swinging after the lessons until 10.30pm giving everyone opportunity to ask questions, have a few drinks, practice their new moves and social dance
