Harry Smith

With his dancing roots in Southern California, Harry informally learnt his first lindy steps from his friends on his year abroad at the University of California, San Diego, before taking the plunge and taking up social dancing in his final few months in Los Angeles.

Upon returning back to the University of Kent, Canterbury, Harry set up Kent’s first swing dance student group, the UKC Swing Dance Society, and began teaching both weekly classes and at the society’s regular social dances.

Harry went on to win second place at the Open Mix & Match competition at DUSS Summer Swing, despite having only danced less than a year!

Harry currently teaches at North Finchley.
