SwingTrain Fitness Workout From BBC Dragons’ Den Entrepreneur To Launch In Scotland, Wales and New Zealand in Q2 2017

NEWS RELEASE: 22nd March 2017

SWINGTRAIN FITNESS WORKOUT FROM BBC DRAGONS’ DEN ENTREPRENEUR TO LAUNCH IN SCOTLAND, WALES AND NEW ZEALAND IN Q2 2017

  • Joyful vintage inspired cardio workout recruiting instructors across the UK and New Zealand

Forty-Five venues offering SwingTrain – the vintage inspired cardio workout launched by BBC Dragons’ Den success Scott Cupit and backed by Deborah Meaden – have opened across England in just three months since the new fitness brand launched at the start of 2017. Now SwingTrain is continuing its rapid growth plans by recruiting new instructors at six Training For Trainers events across the UK, including the first events in both Scotland and Wales, and the workout’s first venture to the southern hemisphere, with two instructor recruitment events scheduled in New Zealand.

The SwingTrain total body workouts are elating exercise experiences accompanied by the vintage vibes of swing, gospel, rhythm & blues and jazz – a marked difference to the electronica that accompanies the majority of cardio exercise classes. They are inclusive and suitable for all levels of fitness and coordination. No dance or fitness class experience is required whatsoever. SwingTrain fitness instructors lead participants through a series of fun, follow-along moves inspired by the street dances of Charleston, lindy hop, and shag. The full body cardio workouts exercise legs, arms and core, as well as developing coordination and mental agility through memorable routines. Each SwingTrain session lasts for an hour, including warm-up and warm-down time.

“Duncan Bannatyne wanted to try swing dancing in health clubs and Piers Linney was looking for ‘the Zumba of Swing’, however social dancing and fitness aren’t quite the same goals. In the Den, Deborah Meaden understood that. It has been important to ensure Swing Patrol sticks to its social dancing and events goals, so that we could establish SwingTrain as a new fitness brand with a clear identity and defined cardio health goals. Supported by Deborah Meaden and my dedicated SwingTrain team, SwingTrain instructors have been quickly establishing and running their own SwingTrain businesses, bringing their entrepreneurial spirit to their local area and growing loyal communities of SwingTrainees across England. We’re continuing to grow across the English regions and are very excited about establishing our first SwingTrain venues in Scotland, Wales and New Zealand. We are building relationships with potential instructors in Australia, Germany and the United States and are aiming to establish SwingTrain as an international fitness brand by the end of 2017,” said Scott Cupit, founder of SwingTrain and Managing Director of Swing Patrol UK.
