Beginner Aerials

Aerials. Frankie Manning’s eyes would light up when he talked about the air steps that he invented. It’s a wonderful part of swing dancing and this is your time to fly. Give it a go.

This workshop is for absolute new aerialists and assumes no knowledge. The day will focus on 3 or 4 of the easiest pops/jumps/flips in our repertoire. We will also work on dancing into the aerials and how to spot them safely. It will be a great day and the perfect place to start flying!

CONTENT

Over the day you will do the following:

• Learn 3 or 4 aerials with different levels of complexity.
• Dance in and out of the aerials in a fun jam session type environment.
• Learn to spot each other safely for best results.

FIND A PARTNER

You need a partner you trust and who preferably you have danced with before in order to book into this workshop.

*This is a workshop where we do not rotate partners so we ask that you find someone you feel comfortable with and book together.*

Level: Appropriate for all levels of dancers.
