Welcome to Swing Patrol Kilburn
Welcome to Swing Patrol Kilburn at the North London Tavern – we’re Pippa and Tobias and we can’t wait to get you started on this dance we love. We guarantee you’ll love it too!
We run our classes on a drop-in basis which means there’s no need to book in advance, and no need to bring a partner. Just turn up any week that suits you!
Every Wednesday we run three classes:
7:15pm – 8:15pm: Level 1 Beginner swing dance class
This will be a beginners class that will introduce new and existing dancers to the basics of the dances included under the Swing umbrella including 6 and 8 count Lindy Hop, Charleston and others.
8:25pm – 9:25pm: Level 1.5 Improvers class
This class will build on skills learned in Level 1 and will be a progression in your Swing learning. This class will help you develop the tools to move on up to the next level.
9:30pm – 10:30pm: Level 2 Intermediate class
You’ve been doing beginners classes solidly for months. You are very comfortable dancing 6 count and Charleston. You’ve learned an 8 count swingout, but maybe just recently and are looking to refine your basics, brush up that swingout and get some new material under your belt. You’re starting to social dance regularly (or have been for a while) and want a little more lead/follow clarity in your life!
Taking more than one class on the same evening? Your second class is half price — just £5!

What is Swing dancing?
It’s a collection of fun and exciting dances from the 1920s-1940s including the Lindy hop and the Charleston. You can read more about it here.
Our venue for the evening is the lovely North London Tavern. On Wednesdays they’ll be giving us a two for one burger offer – the perfect fuel for a night of dancing!
We are looking forward to meeting and dancing with you soon!
