You can find the ever energetic Kathleen and Stephen teaching at Earl Haig Hall, right in the middle of Crouch End, every Wednesday from 7pm. We have two classes, one for complete beginners and a second class for those who want to do a little more dancing. Come join our amazing community. No experience or partner needed!

Class details

7pm: Level 1 Beginners swing dance class
Level 1 focuses on teaching all the basics of swing dance. Lindy Hop 6-count, Lindy Hop 8-count, 1930s Charleston – side by side, tandem and 1920s Charleston. Absolute beginners are always welcome. No experience necessary. No need to bring a partner or book in advance, just turn up and be ready to have some fun!

8:15pm: Level 1.5 Improvers class
Level 1.5 focuses on revisiting what we’ve learned in level 1, working on lead and follow, and taking those first tentative steps into social dancing. Perfect for those that want to keep working on and improving their dancing!

Taking more than one class on the same evening? Your second class is half price — just £5!

What is swing dancing?

Swing, also known as jitterbug and Lindy Hop, is a dance that has come from the 1920s/30s and 40s, it has an amazing energy and will leave you wanting more! Read more about it here.
